Welcome to the Fall 2024 issue of The Cougar Review! We got a lot of poetry submissions this time around. We’re very grateful to all the people who submitted and can’t wait to give you a glimpse of their work.
We held a contest for this issue and the following poems have received special recognition:
1st Place: “Letter to a Nursery Rhyme” by April
2nd Place: “What Do I Know?” by Ictalurus
3rd Place: “Examined” by Savanna
Congratulations!
The only way for The Cougar Review to thrive and deliver new work is for the student body to contribute, so please spread the word to anyone interested! Through The Cougar Review, we hope to provide some experience in publishing for young authors!
I’d like to thank Amanda Hope for being an immense help in creating this literary magazine. I couldn’t have done this without her, and she’s absolutely one of the best and hardest-working teachers here at Crockett.
