Poem: Lingering Ashes

By Naberius

The poison

You left me

Is the lingering larvae;

Leaving on my karma

For a laugh;

Fogged vision,

Got an epiphany

Have to make a decision

Shining the light;

You don’t even care;

But burned my cries;

Better than you;

Photochromic eyes

Saw the shadow tears fall;

Finally caught;

The weak artery,

Don’t miss you in memories

Remember,

You were sure of it;

That the lies were a thought,

And now look at how you rot;

Burned my hollow chest;

Now the smoke

Coughs up whatever’s left;

And you sit on the throne while you choke;

And I forgive you

But I still remember all of it.
